Salary Breakup

Project Scientist- III: Rs. 78000/- per month
Project Scientist- II: Rs. 67000/- per month
Project Scientist- I: Rs. 56000/- per month
Senior Research Fellow: Rs. 35000/- per month
Field Assistant: Rs. 20000/- per month

Qualification

Project Scientist- III: Master’s Degree in Environmental Science/ Marine Science / Marine Biology or equivalent from a recognized University / Institute with at least first class not less than 60% marks. Minimum 7 years experience in research or teaching in the relevant field or collection of water, sediment, marine litter and microplastics and biological samples from the coastal and offshore environment. Experience in handling various analytical instruments for the analysis of chemical oceanographic parameters.
Project Scientist- II: Master’s Degree in Geology / Applied Geology/ Marine Sciences / Marine Studies/Ocean Science & Technology or equivalent from a recognized University / Institute with at least first class not less than 60% marks. Minimum three years of research experience in interpretation of coastal geomorphology, beach profiles, shoreline change studies and mapping using GIS / Remote sensing Tools.
Project Scientist- I: B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University / Institute with at least first class not less than 60% marks. Master’s Degree in Geology / Applied Geology/Marine Sciences / Marine Studies or equivalent from a recognized University / Institute with at least first class not less than 60% marks.
Senior Research Fellow: Master’s Degree in Marine Science/Marine Chemistry/Chemical Oceanography / Analytical Chemistry or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with 60% marks or equivalent grade. NET/CSIR-UGC NET/GATE qualification with two years of research experience in the analysis of chemical oceanographic parameters.
Field Assistant: Degree in science or diploma in engineering or equivalent from a recognized University / Institute. Swimming experience and willingness to work onboard research vessels/fishing boats.

Age Limit

Project Scientist- III: 45 years
Project Scientist- II: 40 years
Project Scientist- I: 35 years
Senior Research Fellow: 32 years
Field Assistant: 50 years
Age Relaxation:- 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST

The selection is based on the Interview / Written test.
